Double α,α CH bond insertion into sp3 CH2 moiety: synthesis of a Fe carbene bis-hydride dinitrogen complex

چکیده
Reduction of [(κ2-P, P′-PCH2PCy)FeCl2] 2 by two electrons under N2 resulted in the formation isomeric low spin diamagnetic complexes 3trans and 3cis [Fe(κ3-P,C,P′-PCPCy)(H)2(N2)] via successive CH bond insertions.

Mild sp2Carbon–Oxygen Bond Activation by an Isolable Ruthenium(II) Bis(dinitrogen) Complex: Experiment and Theory
The isolable ruthenium(II) bis(dinitrogen) complex [Ru(H)2(N2)2(PCy3)2] (1) reacts with aryl ethers (Ar-OR, R = Me and Ar) containing a ketone directing group to effect sp2C-O bond activation at temperatures below 40 °C. DFT studies support a low-energy Ru(II)/Ru(IV) pathway for C-O bond activation: oxidative addition of the C-O bond to Ru(II) occurs in an asynchronous manner with Ru-C bond for...

A salt-elimination reaction between the neodymium monoiodide [Nd(L')(N'')(I)](2) [L' = Bu(t)NCH(2)CH(2){C(NCSiMe(3)CHNBu(t))}; N'' = N(SiMe(3))(2)] and K[FeCp(CO)(2)] affords the first complex with an unsupported 4f-3d metal-metal bond that is sufficiently stable to be isolated; the bond is identified as principally ionic in nature by DFT calculations.
متن کاملTerminal cobalt(III) imido complexes supported by tris(carbene) ligands: imido insertion into the cobalt-carbene bond.
Highly reactive tris-carbene Co(I) complexes [(TIMENaryl)Co]Cl react with organic azides to yield monomeric Co(III) imido complexes [(TIMENaryl)Co(NAr')](BPh4) (aryl = mes, xyl; Ar = -C6H4-CH3, -C6H4-OCH3). The cobalt-imido fragment in these complexes is electrophilic and, as a result, the imido group readily inserts into the cobalt-carbene bond, yielding bis-carbene imine cobalt complexes.
متن کاملCarbon monoxide-promoted carbene insertion into the aryl substituent of an N-heterocyclic carbene ligand: Buchner reaction in a ruthenium carbene complex.
In the presence of carbon monoxide, ruthenium carbenes give a net insertion/ring expansion (Buchner reaction) into one of the aromatic rings of the N-heterocyclic carbene ligand. In alkene metathesis applications, the N-heterocyclic carbene ligand is both robust and typically inert to reactions with the metal-bound carbene. This unique reaction is completely regioselective. The complexes obtain...

Cationic hydride complexes [R-N(1,2-CH(2)CH(2)N=PPh(3))(2)NiH][PF(6)] (R = H, Me) are prepared and shown to react with ethylene to produce NiEt complexes and with LiHBEt(3) in bromobenzene to produce NiPh complexes. These species are also thermolysed at 80 °C to orthometallate one of the phenyl groups of the N=PPh(3) substituents.
